Audi AG Record Sales in 1st Quarter of 2006

Audi AG caught great attention due to uncompromisingly successful sales rate in the first quarter of 2006 measured at over 226 700 cars. This sales volume marked ever notable 16% increase comparing to 2005 figures at 194 970 vehicles. Over 93 600 of sold cars came for March, 2006 with 10% to the March 2005 volumes (85 389 units). These figures witness that first year quarter as well as March month in particular poses the maximum income in Audi history.

The most popular models within the period regarded occurred Audi A3, Audi A6 and Audi A8. In the first three weeks after Audi released its Q7 customers purchased nearly 3300 cars of this model.

As Ralph Weiler, the Audi AG official for sales and marketing, informed, “now in the light of Audi Q7 market forging we are preparing our dealers for managing new model, Audi TT Coupe that debuted in Berlin on 6th of April.”

As a fact, the highest sales growth rates were measured in Chinese market (Hong Kong counted) given total number of 19 161 cars surpassed the 2005 level of 8 473 over twice.

R.
