Lexus Starts IS and GS Sedans Service Campaign

Toyota will recall 57 000 automobiles of Lexus throughout the world as became known. This Lexus recall campaign will concern sedans of IS and GS models issued between July and December, 2005.

The reason for service campaign for IS and GS cars turned out to be front seat belts defect. According to Toyota official announcement the defect prevented drivers and front passengers from proper fastening. Along with there are no officially registered appeals from Lexus drivers or cases of accidents caused by the defect.

Founded in 1989 the Lexus aimed its cars for the American automobile market coming up with its most luxury and expensive models. Nowadays Lexus cars stay on sale in Europe as well as many other countries and regions. Since August, 2005 Lexus entered inner Japanese car market with 15 000 automobiles sold by far but still 11 000 them endure the current service recall campaign.
