Added on 02-15-2006
Italian Maserati intends to conquer Olympus in 2006 on after record 2005 vehicle sales. In American and most important market Maserati increased its sales for 53% in 2005 compared to 2004 including 2100 sedans, coupes and cabrioles on the whole. World market sales came to 5600 automobiles marking 25% growth to 2004 year ratio. At the same time Maserati seemingly will not succeed in realization its plans to sell by 2007 or even 2008 year 10 000 cars per month as Karl-Heinz Kalbfell, Maserati director supposes. Figures like 6 000-7 000 seem more realistic though its necessary to widen model line-up.
True to say that famous Italian sportive cars manufacturer, which celebrated two years ago its 90th anniversary, already made first efforts. For example, new sleek sedan Quatttroporte making half company’s sale became bestseller soon after release.
In nearest future Maserati plans to construct new chic model – Executive GT pricing $115 000, showed at Detroit Auto Show. This new sedan is aimed at those customers who prefer to use personal driver to reach office and spend weekends in fleet highway trips and driving.
