Volkswagen Will Decrease 20 000 jobs

Volkswagen Group revealed its plans to decrease 20 000 jobs of Volkswagen make by 2010 according to restructuring programme which may include production reduction as well. For reference, overall Volkswagen Group worldwide staff amounts to 340 000. Recent official announcement by VW highlights that the Group hopes to revenue more operational profit and to increase general revenue.
In 2005 due to ForMotion programme Volkswagen Group by prior estimates managed to earn 3.5 billion euros, and operational profit was 2.79 billion euros (70% growth to 2004). Pure revenue after taxes discharge came to 1.12 billion euro (over 50% growth to 2004).
