“The Automobile of the Year 2006” became BMW 3-ser

BMW 3-serie was named “The car of 2006 year” by the journalists in the frames of annual New York International Motor Show, the 106th one and opened for wide audience yesterday.

In fact, 46 journalists from all over the world were allowed to examine all the cars exhibited minutely during two days before the official exhibition start.

Explaining the reasons for BMW 3-serie title of “the car of the 2006” the jury substantiated that this car poses “the example of extra-balanced automobile” combining the features that only a limited of cars in the world can boast of. “This compact automobile can serve equally well for both – everyday family sedan and sportive car for weekends” – Graham Johnson stressed, “The Automobile of the 2006 year” contest jury chairman.

As an additional fact, the final stage of “The Automobile of the 2006” was participated by Porsche Cayman S and Mazda MX-5. While the winner of this contest at 2005 New York International Motor Show was Audi A6 business class sedan.
