Lexus LS Series for Japan Unveiled.

Toyota on the 26th of April officially unveiled Lexus LS series automobiles destined for inner Japanese car market. In fact, Toyota introduced Lexus LS460 – the premium class sedan model which starts for sale in September; as well Lexus LS600h hybrid and its long LS600hL version were presented. These two models will be available in dealers showrooms only next spring.

The Lexus LS460 equipped with powerful 4.6 V8 engine yet gained wide repute due to its Pre-Crush Safety system which collects and analyzes information from several microwave radars, then the system is able to count road situation through and in case of some accident threat independently corrects engine functioning, transmission and brakes system.

Lexus LS600h has 5.0 V8 engine attached by electric one and AWD system. The LS600hLversion has fully the same specifications but the body dimensions. As for pricing the Lexus LS640h will start with 87 200 dollars.

Lexus LS presentation is planned for autumn 2006.
In fact, Lexus is operating in Japanese car market since August, 2005 and its monthly sales never exceeded 3 000 cars. So experts consider that Lexus LS series enter to Japanese market which always featured popularity of German luxury premium class models will scarcely raise Lexus gross popularity.
