Porsche officially announced cessation of Porsche Carrera GT super car manufacturing. The last car of Carrera GT model will be issued on the 6th of May, 2006. All the cars including those not produced are yet purchased.As a fact, Porsche Carrera GT was introduced by the company in 2000. Porsche encouraged by the responses from customers and car experts initiated developing the serial Carrera GT version and by September 15, 2003 was constructed the first market Porsche Carrera GT.

Initially the company planned to manufacture 1 500 automobiles of Carrera GT but the outcome production volumes entailed in 1 270 cars only. It was caused in essence by toughening ecological requirements in the USA which served the key market for Porsche Carrera GT. The second rank in Carrera GT sales holds Germany car market, followed by Great Britain, Middle East and Japan. Remarkably that six of Carrera GT were sold in China.
