US Diesels Park Grew 80% for 5 Years.

The number of diesel engine equipped autos sold on US territory in 2000-2005 period grew 80%. According to data of R.L. Polk & Co experts in 2005 543 800 diesel were officially registered in USA while five years previously in 2000 this figure amounted 301 500 cars using diesel as fuel.

The experts also point out that diesel cars popularity was caused by both – main car makes’ model lines expanding and increasing difference between petrol and diesel prices.

So the current average petrol gallon price makes $2.914 while diesel fuel has this rate at $2.876. In addition prices rise of two fuel types also makes diesel more profitable as during the last week petrol price increased 13% and diesel – 11%.
