Worldwide Racing for Hybrid Cars

Hybrid cars and autos using alternative fuel types will be arranged for “round-the-world race” in 2008. The route from New York to Paris and the winner will be awarded with $1 000 000. The race suggested and prepared by Rally Partners Inc. Company which also is current holder of classical vehicles Great Race via the entire America.


The race of hybrids and alternative fuel using cars will start on February, 12 in New York – exactly day to day 100 years after legendary Greatest Auto Race in 1908 started. One hundred years ago the race was following the same route and proved vitality of those contemporary cars.


In 2008 the competition will be participated by 40 teams: 20 with their “green cars” and 20 with classical retro cars.
They will start out from New York to San Francisco, then will be transported by see to Shanhai where racers will direct their cars to Paris.


In fact, racers will pass through 53 towns and cities and cover on the whole 22 530 km of distance given the most part of it passes through absolutely dessert areas.
