Dodge Showed Off Its Renewed Durango Model

Dodge introduced renewed version of its off-roader Dodge Durango model to the currently taking place in Dallas Auto Show.

In fact, new Durango destined for 2007 came different from its precursor in body front part design. So reviewed off-roader is conspicuous in basically new front fenders plasticity, new thoroughly hood as well as new headlight shape added by restyled radiator grate. Finally new Dodge Durango can be recognized by new front bumper with protection cover.

Besides, new Durango is shining with its ability to use both – gasoline and ethanol and even any mixture of these fuel types. Its new 4.7 V8 engine produces 230 h/p.

In 2008 Dodge Company projects to commence hybrid version of Durango equipped with5.7 HEMI-type power unit attached by two electric engines and new system of traction distribution. Such a configuration is expected to reduce fuel expenditure for 25%.

As a fact, the engine model intended for the hybrid version came as BMW, GM and DaimlerChrysler joint development and research result.
