Mercedes 300 SL Gullwing Coupe Announced

DaimlerChrysler Company is preparing new Mercedes 300 SL Gullwing coupe – the successor the legendary sportive coupe manufactured between 1954 and 1957.

Like the ancestor new Mercedes 300 SL Gullwing will be equipped with doors of gull wing type opening upward. The rest design components will be performed in more modern style.

Classical Mercedes-Benz 300SL Gullwing was on production line since 1954 till 1957 and the total number of cars issued amounted to 1 400. Those sportive automobiles bore rather innovative technical maintenance solutions including pipe carriage, aluminum body, 3.0 liter engine with fuel injection system enabling Mercedes 300 SL Gullwing reach the top speed of 260 km/h.

DaimlerChrysler company though hasn’t unveiled any information on the remake model’s technical specifications and performance as well as on the terms of launching it into production.
