New BMW FRC Marks Room Function Concept

BMW Company conducts preparations of new big-size all-wheels driveline equipped estate model – BMW RFC – Room Function Concept - that will be aimed at challenging Mercedes R-Classe.

New BMW RFC construction will likely engage the platform of sedans and estate models of 5-series or X5 crossover. The RFC attached with AWD feature will be powered by 3.0 L6 engine with 255 h/p and as well by the 4.8 V8 375 h/p unit.

The AWD estate which will feature out BMW RFC is destined mostly for the US car market where such model type is gaining more and more popularity. In fact, BMW RFC is allegedly ecpected to be launched into manufacturing in 2008.
