New BMW X3 More Enhancements

In order to prove its name and the X3 model in particular BMW provided for performance and safety features of the new BMW X3 with the very latest traction control system allied to xDrive, BMW’s unique four-wheel-drive system. For the first time on a BMW X model at large BMW arranged its innovative Dynamic Stability Control + (DSC+) given system is fitted as standard.

In addition to the all round traction control benefits of such technology, DSC+ on the X3 comes with four additional features aimed at improving safety.

1) BMW Brake Pre-tensioning shortens stopping distances during an emergency stop by priming the brakes when driver push off the accelerator sharply in preparation.

2) Brake Drying improves braking performance in the wet by periodically applying the brake pads to scrub away the film of water that can build up on the brake discs.

3) BMW Hill Start Assistant allows manual transmission car to start riding smoothly on a gradient without rolling backwards.

4) BMW Brake Fade Compensation provides additional braking without extra effort from the driver should sensors detect that the brake pads start to lose the ‘bite’ because of heat rise.

For the other hand an new BMW X3 model driver will now be allowed to select the Dynamic Traction Control (DTC) function of DSC. DTC allows for greater degree of wheel slip for more spirited driving without the main traction control system safety. This option can be activated via a button on the centre console.

The new BMW X3 pricing issues and related issues will be declared in autumn before sales start.
