New Mercedes MLK Expected in 2008.

Mercedes-Benz specialists commenced developing new crossover model expected to debut in 2008. Currently the company conducts testing the model’s prototype called Mercedes 204 SUT in the conditions of winter season. It is known that the platform for coming Mercedes-Benz crossover model will serve the modernized one of C-class next generation which enters auto stage in 2007.

As well new Mercedes crossover will be attached with AWD feature and powered by 4-, 6- or 8-cylinder engines. New Mercedes crossover market destination provides for challenging such cars as BMW X3 and coming Audi Q5.

The serial crossover version will bear Mercedes MLK name though there is no information and pictures of its exterior. Spy photos of the MLK prototype feature the model as sedan but the final version will likely gain the estate or SUV body type.

In fact, new Mercedes MLK manufacturing will be launched in Germany with annual production volumes of 40 000 automobiles. The expected basic price for new Mercedes MLK will circle 35 – 40 thousand euros.
