New Suzuki XL-7 Unveiled

First data about new Suzuki XL7 appeared. It became known that new 2007 XL7 model will be bigger in dimensions and imparted with more engine power capacity. Still as previous generation new Suzuki XL7 will have AWD and 7 occupants seating capacity. XL7 gained the traits of Suzuki Concept-X displayed at Detroit Auto Show 2005. Such features as triangle-shape turning lights, more expressive radiator grate with three horizontal lines and large logo. As well new XL7 will inherit from Concept-X neatly delineated wheels arches and binary muffler.

New Suzuki XL7 constructed on GM Theta platform is strengthened by stringers in full length. Equipped with AWD rear wheels automatically attachable driveline when front thrashing. Standard power unit developed by General Motors prepared for new Suzuki XL-7 is 3.6 V6 DOHC with 250 h/p and 350 Nm. This engine is manufactured under GM license at Suzuki factory in Japan. In spite of increase in cubic displacement the engine with its 13, 14 liters per 100 km in city cycle and 10 liters in highway endows new Suzuki XL-7 with good fuel economy.

The V6 is arranged with 5-speed hydro transmission with manual shifting option.

Among other important and conspicuous features of new XL7 are independent McPherson suspension in front and multi-link in rear as well as hydraulic shock absorbers in 5-seater variant and self-aligning Nivomat in 7-seater version.
According to available information new Suzuki XL7 will come on sale late in 2006.
