Samand To Be Produced In Byelorussia

The UNISON joint venture has started assembly of the Iranian car Samand in Minsk. The production of two versions - standard and de luxe - is made with the Iranian parts kitting of Iran Khordo. First cars will be assembled of import parts only. Further 35- 50 percent native parts and components are planned to be used. 820 cars will have been assembled by the end of 2006. 4- 6 thousand cars will be produced in 2007. The two versions are equipped with 1.8 lit. ICE (100bhp). A standard car bundling includes A/C control, hydro steering booster, one piece-all new dashboard complete with armature.
Samand will cost 11000-12000USD.
