Volvo C30 Serial Debut Postponed Till 2007.

Volvo C30 compact hatchback model official presentation dated for autumn 2006 will likely postponed till spring 2007.

Worth to mark that new Volvo hatchback prototype was shown off early in 2006 at the Detroit Motor Show. Volvo C30 3-door automobile constructed on Ford C1 platform as well as Ford Focus, Mazda 3 and Volvo S40. Still C30 will be 25 cm shorter than Volvo S40 sedan model. The engine line for new upcoming Volvo C30 will be borrowed from Ford and Mazda including 4-cylinder units. Besides, Sweden Car Company intends to construct the hybrid version of its C30 hatchback.

The main market competitors of C30 will be BMW 1-series, Mercedes A-class, VW Golf V. According to soaring information the manufacturing of Volvo C30 will be launched at Ford factory in Belgium. Currently the model experiences final tests for severe Northern climate.
