Saturn, 2002, VueSaturn is basically a division of American General Motors constructing all kinds of cars of pretty experimental configuration. Their common engineering method is combining the most outstanding characteristics of different cool cars like Opel, Vauxhall etc. in one magnificent model. Exactly this way they developed Saturn Vue SUV, one of the main competitors of such famous brands as Subaru Forester and Toyota mini-SUVs.
In 2002 I was employed as a commercial representative of a company supplying various professional sport equipment and accessories, including alpine ones, and the top-management provided me with a car appropriate for transporting the samples and demonstrating them on the spot.
I never drove SUVs before, so I needed a light easy-steering model well adjusted for driving in highland Carpathian areas, with maximum comfort and security rates for impressing our clients.
I was the one to make the final decision and I chose an import American Saturn Vue SUV, a rare prestigeous car with following superb characteristics, which actually put this SUV somewhere between a universal go-anywhere SUV and a dynamic manoeuvrable wagon:
V-6 24-cylinder engine of 3.0 liter volume, all-wheel drive plus enormous towing capacity of 1140 kg. It also has great acceleration of 0~100 km/h per 9.5 minutes, an electronic steering support unit, an effecient transfer case, impressive 16" wheels, a hi-tech precise automatic 5-speed transmission, plus a continuously variable transmission system, that was considered an innovation back in 2002.
During one year and a half I drove it across the mountains and didn't face any troubles. Its roomy wagon-like trunk served me really well for transporting all sport gear needed for demonstrations, and its luxurious 5-seated saloon equipped with electronically-adjusted power seats providing the clients with maximum comfort after long hours of mountain-climbing, plus its leather upholstery was colored warm tan and metallic grey, which are basically our corporate colors ;)
I was all satisfied with this cool secure all-terrain car, which was also maintained for the firm's money, but in 2004 I got another job and my substitute used it since then. As for me, my new high salary allowed me to purchase a cool Acura TSX, a German sedan car made in Japan. I'll describe my experience of driving and maintaning it in my next car story.

Seems to be a very cool big car. I guess in several years such wonderful wagon/SUV hybrids are going to become really popular because of their outstanding cargo capacity and cool look.
