Bedford, 1998, CFL Van 3dr Man 4sp 2.8Just take a look at the pictures of this cool car of my friend's I've attached!
Doesn't it look cute and perfectly extravagant, colored so brightly yellow? Doesn't its exterior design look just like a modern Japanese one?
My buddy Mike knew exactly what car he needed when he was buying his marvellous Bedford campervan back in 80ies. He basically needed a spacious durable car equipeed with an engine economical enough to drive it across the Sates cheap and a climate system effective enough to provide comfortable conditions in its roomy saloon. His lifestyle is absolutely nomadic, probably because his ancesors originate from South American steppes, he drives his wheeled home van to a different country places every month, usually crossing the States from East to West, following the sun.
For these 25 years he owns this superb vehicle he had 5 minor accidents and his car proved its outstanding endurance never breaking seriously. Perhaps the main secret of its invulnerability is its mass and the low speed it is able to run, but who cares as long as its old Rover type engine feeds on comparatively small amounts of fuel of any quality and doesn't require any special motor-oil?
One time, right in the beginning of the New Year 2000 he changed the whole interior of his van - he replaced the old plastic upholstery with modern hyper-durable one, make the saloon habitable in winter by adding wadding to its walls and changed the bed for a bigger one, allowing up to 4 persons sleep in it ;)
This cult american campervan is an integral part of Mike's lifestyle and he lives in it more than at his home!

I live this wheeled house of your friend's. Interesting, why these cool famous brands like Toyota or Saab doesn't design these marvellous vans-for-living?
