Toyota, 2000, Caldina 4 WD G 2.0LHello!!! This is car story about my new but used Toyota Caldina. It was purchased not so far ago… in September of 2005 via one Internet auction were used Japanese cars are for sale. One year ago I decided that my new car would be from Japan. So I have a big family and next what I want from car it is wagon body type. In addition engine should be not less than 2.0L. Toyota or Honda this was the question. In my humble opinion Toyota - is very efficient car, and Honda is amazing for its cars' dynamics… at last I fixed choice at Caldina 4WD G. My friends let me know beforehand that this car has high fuel consumption, bad dirigibility characteristics, complicated maintenance and other… At last I got exactly this model. White colored with total mileage 9 000 model of 2000 year.
What I really like in this car it is headlights, restyled passenger compartment, especially dashboard – white with blue light!!! As additional features there are wooden and chrome inserts, outer thermometer, short gearbox ratio. The very good invention is V Flex coupler that transmits part of engine’s power to the rear wheels, the ratio depends on how much the front wheels slip... in addition I am not scared if it will break the car than will have only front wheels drive at that time now it is FWD with adaptive switching of rear drive (as I mentioned before when the road conditions are good it has only front drive, but when it's necessary my car transforms it into AWD). The suspension is smooth and sometimes even too soft… fuel consumption is about 19 – 20 mpg for urban driving and 32 – 33 for highway. In general this auto has very simple design and I can do some repairs by myself. There is only one unfamiliar thing there – it is mounted driveshaft. Is there somebody who had problems because of it?

By rmcexmgx on 01-08-2006:It's a superb 4WD babe. You'll scarcely have any problems with mounted driveshaft anyway, dear.
By rmcexmgx on 01-08-2006:View all commentsLady I am fan of Toyota and I tried lots of its vehicles... so it is relaible car and even if something breaks you'd better swap it for brand's parts. And than your car will work for a long time.
