Hedrick's Ford F-150 Pickup

Added 1651 storyHedrick is an old friend of mine, he's a good farmer, an experienced hunter and fisher, a passionate driver and a a great buddy. He's living in Danish countryside, and the only car he considers fitting his needs 100% is the Ford pickup he bought in March 2004. Before purchasing it he considered different European and Asian SUV and truck models, like Mazda, Toyota, Chrysler and Mercedes, but these cars either lacked passability, or cargo capacity, or engine power, or saloon heating and he kept on looking through on-line car catalogs.
Finally he ordered an American Ford pick-up, impressed by its high clearance, big wheels, roomy body and comfortable saloon. The car cost him really much, good that its shipping to Denmark was covered by manufacturer. After it arrived to Denmark it looked really exotic in the snowy lanes of Danish spring, such a cowboy-styled pick-up coming directly from Westen movies, but gradually I got used to its sight. This pick-up is a real monster of power and cross-country ability capable of transporting any reasonable amount of cargo.
After listing my subjective impressions from this car I'm going to provide you with its detailed
actual characteristics. Hedrick's Ford F-150 is an F-series pick-up of extended-cab 4x4 configuration equipped with the most powerful engine available - a 5.4L V8 supercharged, special 20" wheels and an automatic transmission. This monster has 340 horses under its hood; it's fuel economy is rather low - 12.5 mpg, but Hedrick doesn't actually care as long as the vehicle serves him really well. Other minor drawbacks are low acceleration and noisy engine.
Hedrick is very fond of his vehicle and tries to maintain it in perfect condition on his own, using on-line and printed materials on car mechanics. Once he even tried using it in his fieldworks instead of a tractor, and the plough attached to it furrowed the soil like butter!

Oh, 20-inch wheels... Isn't it too bulky and weighty?
