Lincoln 1996: my brother's American car.

Added 1651 storyIn 2002 my elder brother Dai bought a 1996 Lincoln from his American friend living and working in Japan. It's a superb Mark VIII model that had 25000 km mileage when Dai was buying it. Since then Dai keeps it in good condition paying good money for its maintenance. My brother is a CEO of a small enterprise, and in Japan it's really prestigeous to own such a car. Dai's Lincoln is a high-lux sportive coupe, combining elegance, speed and comfort. Lincoln's interior has a noble air about it and is designed in an optimal way for providing maximum field of vision. It's enging is a 4.6L V8 with 4 cams and 16 cylinders, extremely powerful (making up to 290 hp) and very torquy. It has strong chassis and independent suspension for each wheel, 4-wheel antilock brakes, convenient 4-speed automatic transmission and a very effecient security system.
The best car audio system I ever heard is set in its roomy saloon; the seats of this car are real nests of comfort. Once on a business trip Dai had a ride with a representative of Mitsubishi company. Before the trip that gentleman accepted only Japanese cars with their "practicality over comfort" standards, but after that trip he also bought an American Lincoln ;)
I hope one day our Japanese car industry will produce cars of the same class as my brother's, but cheaper.

By rmcexmgx on 12-27-2005:Linkoln is the only car from US I can stand - the rest are so unattractive for me!
By rmcexmgx on 12-27-2005:American luxury automobiles such Lincoln or Cadillac surely worth money you paid. But for every day driving I prefer Toyota Camry I purchased it just before Christmas, and now it is third car in my family. And what about Acura Legend (Honda's brand) I think it is quite impressive car.) Best wishes for the New Year celebration....
By rmcexmgx on 12-27-2005:View all commentsHmmm... I think many rich businessmen own Lincolns and Cadillacs just for the sense of owning a presigeous car, and don't actually drive them, hiring a personal driver instead. I really feel for them ;)

Lincoln is one of the most prestigeous, absolutely cult car ever produced in America.
There are several Lincolns owned by Helsinki citizens, but it's too expensive to be popular...
