My “Alligator” !!

Mitsubishi Pajero is my third offroader…, and I think the best one I’ve ever seen! 3L engine provides 181h/p.., (I think it’s not quite enough for such an all-wheel drive “alligator”). May be because of hydro the acceleration is rather weak, but if you’re using sport mode, the car makes it better (at that its gas consumption increases till 20-22L).

But it’s not the point of my story… it’s undemanding, reliable and roomy and the suspension is quite soft, what tells on comfort in off-road driving… yeah off-road, because it’s the real OFFROADER!

Yesterday I went fishing with my friend… just to have a rest on the weekend and to test my new off-road passion. So.. en route we had to cross a rather shallow river with slow flow. It was dark, and we were really tired to make a big detour.. I turned on all-wheel drive mode and started with a jerk into the seemingly “shallow” river….. o-o we were mistaken actually..

The depth of the river was more than 1m.. because it flooded! I took the risk and gassed from the heart! And I did it! Head lights of my car were half submerged in the water (and this is in the presence of really high clearance!). I drove about 20 meter against the current at my own risk. You may won’t believe me, but Pajero stood the test with dignity! Some water in the inner and insignificant disrepairs with electronics… I respect my Alligator!!
