My good car - VW Polo, produced in 2001

Added 1651 story4 years ago I purchased this marvellous Volkswagen. It's a sturdy 5-dr hatchback, roomy and with an average drag of 0.32. It's equipped with a 3-cylinder turbo diesel engine (2 valves per cylinder), of 1.4-liter capacity, making around 75 horsepower, but with high torque of 145 lbft. It also makes much noise and some smoke, but it's just allright for me. The noise doesn't reach its soundproof saloon, and the smoke it produces leaves faaar behind when I drive my average 75 kmph ;)
The engine consumes around 4.5 liters per 100 km; it has a front-wheel drive train and a usual transverse engine location, plus reliable brakes and hard suspension. I usually drive it across forest highways, and my usual cargo is usually fruit, berries and vegetables my family cultivates at our dacha :)
Perhaps one day I'll change with a newer model, but it's still going to be a diesel and a Volkswagen, because all parameters of this car, including the price and spares availability fit me the best way.

COMMENTSBy rmcexmgx on 01-03-2006:I respect Volkswagen cars, they are cheap, comparatively and reliable but the power is not their merit. Man, tell me, if 2006 is the the year of a dog why your avatar is sheep?
By rmcexmgx on 01-03-2006:Very unusual variant of engine - 3 cylinder...very..never heard VW has such engines...I like your car's fuel economy. My Tatra has 3 times bigger engine but proportionally its fuel economy is more better.

To tell the truth I can stand this tiny piece as far as VW and Audi are one hting - as for the model's concept - it's beyond my understanding, I don't like such small tinies!
