My horror car Porsche Cayenne
AUTHORExos
Added 1 storySTORY CARPorsche Cayenne
Porsche, 0, CayenneI drove BMW X5 and 745i in the course of a year and a half and I was assured that BMW is the most unreliable make: in X5 all the parts were swapped everything that could be swapped, a breakages happened all the time with an enviable constancy – approximately once a week; in 745i there was swapped front suspension and steering rod after the first covered 800 km.
I decided to buy next car with a reputation of reliable car and chose Porsche Cayenne. How ever I was cruelly mistaken! This car is a horror on wheels. My Porsche was standing stripped half a year and still there is none guilty can be found. I didn’t like Cayenne right away because of its hard suspension and small breakage happening continually that was the reason to turn to an auto service as the usual stuff, for example: lamps of the city beam, tail and side lights being burnt out with a periodicity once in 3-4 days, dashboard’s highlight gives a wink all the time, etc. But this is nothing compared with what is to come!!! After the covered 25,000 km a hydro gearbox was broken! There started long trips to the auto service and constant talks and disputes. After my 6th or 7th visit they finally decided to swap hydro gearbox. From bad to worse…
In the course of warranty term I started marking that oil consumption increased: if earlier I added 1-2 liters of oil during easy-tempered style of driving, but now I add 4-5 liters. At auto service the master said without hesitation: “this is Porsche, they always eat much oil”. Some months later the warranty expired, 3 or 4 months of it I wasted for trips to the auto service and proving that there were disrepairs in my car. Moreover an engine broke such way that it wasn’t subject to repairs – only swap! And new engine costs $52,000!!! Porsche representatives and auto service in the person of “Sport Car Center” where work such “super professionals” refuse to swap engine, which was broken because of manufacturer and insist at the same time that my case is very single instance. But this is the outrageous lie!!! Insurance companies assert that there are a lot similar cases to mine. Therefore I contacted with two Cayenne owners and they have similar problems with engines after they covered approximately 25,000 km.
