Since 2004 I'm a proud owner of a cool VolksWagen Jetta TDI Wagon car. Its has following technical specifications: 1.9-liter 110 hp, 4-cylinder, 8-valves turbo-diesel engine, with outstanding torque of 1800 - 2400 rpm providing superb acceleration; 5-speed automatic transmission (Tiptronic); disc brakes for all 4 wheels enhanced with Engine Braking Assist (EBA). Its fuel usage is just perfect for me - 6.5 liters per 100 km.
It's roomy enough for 5 passengers, plus plenty of cargo, remarkably manoeuvrable and just perfect for driving in the city side. Safety characteristics of Jetta are just perfect.
During 2 years that I drive VW Jetta TDI I only had 2 minor repairs - first time it was slight corrosion of exhauster caused by high humidity in my garage, second time axle kink after a minor accident.
Many people think that diesels are weak, smoky and unreliable, but my experience shows that WV diesels are just perfect, plus economical.
