This is one of the famoust off road race that is held every year. Now it is sponsored by Total S.A. and organized by the Amaury Sport Organization.

First rally way led from Paris, France to Dakar, Senegal, discontinued by a moving through the Mediterranean, later because of politics and other factors the route has been changing many times.

There are three major racing classes, it is motorcycles, automobiles and large trucks.

The rally was wined by Russian KAMAZ in class large trucks in 1996, 2000, 2002, 2003 (that was anniversary 25th race) 2004 and 2005 too. The last crew in staff pilot Firdaus Kabirov, navigator Aidar Belyaev, mechanic Andrey Mokeev passed ahead of nearest rival more than six hours. They took part in Rally by the brand “KAMAZ Master” that mean also name of this truck.

In 1998 appeared the general model KAMAZ-49252; it has motor ZMA-7E846 with 830 horsepower, moreover new base and body. Modification 2002 KAMAZ-4911 has engine location under the front axle and different transmission, gear, mobile gantry, cardans etc. It had been approved FIA in November, and just before one month the Rally started, it took new body.

And one of the latest modifications was sport truck KAMAZ-4911 Extreme that has been wining the Rally not once. The same engine let him rich the top speed more than 165 kph and it takes 16 seconds to reach 100 kph.., by the way his weight is 10 tones. His overhead system is unique. Track can jump many meters without damages and soft touch down. Improved model of this car wined last race. What will be in this year? I’m looking forward 15 January finish and prizing giving day.
