Porsche 911 is a legendary sports car made by Porsche AG. This auto has been produced for competitions and racing. The 911 was replaced Porsche 356, the very first model.

The whole world saw this car in 1963 and later it was rebuilt many times and again and again made peace wonder. Each year Porsche improves the 911 and that thing makes this model different.

Chronologically we can trace the development of it in follow way, the classic 911s, from the original 1963 version up to the last 1994 version (Type 964). Then was turbocharged 911s (Type 930) from 1976-1989, and later generation turbots from 1991-1994. Another branch was the last generation of 911 (Type 993), in production from 1995 through 1998, including the 1996-1998 911 Turbo.

Of course it isn’t strict date to date order but when Porsche did his cars he didn’t think about this. All of them are perfect. As an interesting fact that in 1998 was introduced the first water-cooled 911. Project named Type 996.

Latest realize was type 997 in July 2004. The 997 is similar to the 996. Its interior was also rewritten. Type 996 produced in versions Turbo, Targa, Cabriolet, Carrera 4S, GT2 and GT3. Cabriolet version we wait will be introduced in Spring 2005. Turbo and GT3 currently is modernized.

And the main thing that makes keep passion to this car is that their histories are continuing. Porsche is expected to debut its next entirely new 911, the Type 998, in 2009. So will live, will see.
