Great news for Porsche lovers! Porsche will participate in Le Mans-style racing 2006. Recently Porsche disclosed details of their new prototype race car. By the way it has been designed and constructed since 1998.

This model offers a completely new engine, chassis and transmission. It features: suspension at all four corners, a tire-pressure control system and carbon brake discs.

The prototype is powered by a new 3.4-liter 32-valve 90-degree V-8, limited to producing 480 horsepower at 10,100 rpm (ACO regulation). In accordance to the 2006 ALMS regulations, the new Porsche LMP2 weighs only 750Kg.

Racing specialists say there is a very good chance that this new model may run in the final two races of this year!
