Some Words about my car Plymou

Plymouth, 2000, Prowler Hot Rod 2doors, 3.5L engine, Auto 4 speed.

My car Prowler was launched by Chrysler Corporation in 1997 and was produced till the 2002 and were only 12 000 models brought out for all this time. I have 2000 model line up. It is really rare car and it is difficult to find it on roads. But it is big difference to see it and to drive it.

This car always attracts attention of people. When you have stopped in the street strangers come up to you and ask various questions, when you have driven it round the city other drivers horn and wave you. If you are ready for this though, buy it!

Well, when I purchased my car first of all I signed up at – www.prouwleronline.com this is official site for Prowler enthusiasts where you can find lots of useful information. So if you already buy this car and don’t register there do it! In addition it is necessary to tune your car as I did. What has been done?

1. They coated with chromefront suspension including brake mechanism, Carlini Design.

2. New exhaust system was installed, the muffler from ProwerPro and tips from Mopar.

3. There was changed driving gear of transmission, standard gears with 30 and 33 cogs swapped to 22 and 30 cogs. All from the ProwlerPro. The burning tires and burst from the traffic light. According my personal feelings it hit sixty at some five seconds.

4. Moreover the standard air filter was swapped to the RER Networking high flow.

5. Next three additional links for suspension form RER Networking were installed.

6. And last, instead of its own front plastic radiator grille added chromed one and plus under rear bumper added plate that hides back axle. Everything from Carlini.

Now I am thinking about engine tuning besides. It could be done by several means:

1. Install charge cooler from Paxton (+60hp).

2. NOS form ProwlerPro (+140hp).

3. Install Supercharge Kit for Prowler from Hennesy Motor Sport (+140hp)

4. And its V6 engine can be swapped to other models V8 engines for example I think that Chrysler 300C HEMI is quite appropriate for this purpose.

And at the end of story about my car a bit of history, you know that this auto was created by the young generation of engineers of Chrysler, the Vice Chairman of Corporation Bob Lutz let them to build any car only with using batch workpieces. And it was first and one, as I know, hot rod classical automobile assembled at factory line in our days. In 1997 it coast about 35 000$ dealership and include only two trim levels. Since 1999 its price rose up to 43 000$, but model of 1997 was sold for 70 000 – 85 000$. That was a time! Every one in America got crazy about this car. But still I consider this is very stylish automobile one of outstanding models that changed people’s mind. Thank you four reading my car story.
