Saturn SL 2000 no problems! car

Saturn is reliable, plain and economic automobile. I purchased it three years ago with total mileage 50 000 in very good condition. The package includes automatic gearbox, CD audio system, PAS and airbags. Later I had to add power window, xenon headlights, ABS and air conditioner.

At first it seemed to me that steering is little bit tight steering (comparing with my previous Honda Accord), than in addition it has sportive suspension not so comfortable for city but very fitting for highway. The passenger compartment is comfortable in front but rear there are lack of space in addition it has roomy boot and reclining rear seats. The doors and hood is made from some polymer plastic. And nevertheless it got the highest safety rating for frontal and rear impacts.

Fuel consumption is about 18mpg for urban driving and 24mpg for highway. My Saturn is equipped with dohc 1.9 engine that outputs 100hp. Frankly speaking it is not enough for its 3 100 lbs. I feel lack of dynamics in city. Most power it outputs at 4500 – 5500 rpm the same models also equipped with dohc 1.9 (127hp) type of engine this could be right choice if you going to buy this car.

I swapped frontal brakes’ discs, air filter, spark plugs and wires for them after 70 000 miles. This is all with the exception of oil. The current mileage is amount 90 000 miles and there are no problems with it still.

I like this car because it's economic, not big and suits for all occasions of life. But as I mentioned before the engine with 100hp is not enough, more powerful 125hp will be OK!
