Usually such cars have the weight less then 4.800kg and engine more that provides about 1000 horsepower! It takes them less then 6 seconds to reach 100km/h! But maximal speed of these monsters is limited by the electronic. The top speed of them is 160kph. Most of monster trucks that take part in racing equipped with the ZF Ecosplit 16 S 221 transmission. There are two types of trucks. Super Race V-1200, and Race V-any but weight not less then 5.800kg. Vehicles of racing are best known as an ordinary transportation used cars such MAN, Mercedes, Tatra, Sisu, Katerpiller, Scania, Foden, Volvo, DAF etc.
In Europe super truck racing has been one of the most popular forms of motor sport for over 15 years. In March 2001 was created STRANA (Super Truck Racing Association of North America). Since that it became popular in America too.
