I'm glad and eager to tell the story about my car here. This is the first similar site fully dedicated to car stories. I'm 24, from Italy, Rome but here in Italy we start with car driving very early so my current car Subaru Imprexa 2.0 is the 3rd one. Two first were Alfa Romeos, I guess the best italian car manufacturer after such sports giant manufacturers as Ferrari, Maserati and Lamborghini. I purchased Subaru Impreza last year in Rome, there is a headquaters of official dealers, and I put out $26 500 for it! I had to work hard and save money on every trifle. After using Alfas I understood that I need a powerful sedan but with full drive only and as Alfa romeo has no pertinent models I had to start examinig car market and liked Impreza - sportive car with full drive. I'm a woman and many think that it's anomalous but it's a family tradition: my father was a famous mechanic at Maserati, two my brothers are mad about cars too and own Alfa GT, BMW 850 accordingly so I always tried to keep the pace and never stay behind. To tell the truth I like Impreza for engine features only, the rest things mean little for me, I mean inner comfort, design. Two aspect are really importatnt in every car if one is a automobile connoisseu indeed - dynamics and reliability of its parts. So Subaru Impreza bears these, powerful 2.0 4-cylinder boxer supercharged giving 227 h/p; that's why the torque is a bit low - 217 lb/ft, but the engine balanced so specially to enable more power and acceleration - it is 6.5 sec. Though I'm woman I can easily dismantle, repair and assemble the engine of any car, some parts of suspension and chassis - not all. Soon I'll make some tuning for my car. The design which I don't really like though it bears vivid sporty features needs some restyling, i want to add futurist graphics, put moulding, new bumber and maybe wing doors but that will cost some $4 000! Big money and first I should get them. Such disadvantages of Subaru Impreza like narrow seats, little room for rear occupants and few inner accessories never frustrate me as I don't see any sense in them. Thatks and happy New Year!
