As you know by my articles I’m crazy about the unusual vehicles and today I would like to tell you about the king of the monster truck's - Bigfoot 5. Bigfoot was the first monster truck, a modified Ford F250 pickup truck. First built in 1975 by Bob Chandler through the extensive modification of his pickup. Chandler used his tough Ford truck on the job and for off-road family fun on the weekends. In 1979 Chandler started making paid appearances with Bigfoot at car shows. From there the truck's popularity began to grow, and Chandler started to slowly build a fleet of trucks to make appearances. Team Bigfoot has a wealth of monster truck racing championships, and Bigfoot 5, which was specially designed for the use of 10 foot tall tires, holds the Guinness World Record for the World's Largest Pickup Truck.

Bigfoot 5 is 4.7 m (15 ft 5 in) tall with 3 m (10 ft) high tires, and weighs 17,236 kg (38,000 lb). The truck is one of three big trucks out of a fleet of 17. Bigfoot 5 was built in 1986 to run on a set of 3-m (10-ft) tall Firestone Tundra tires on aluminum wheels, weighing around (1,088 kg) 2,400 lb. Although Bigfoot 5 is too big to race Bob's other trucks have competed very successfully in the popular sport of monster truck racing, and by 1999 team Bigfoot had won its sixth racing series championship in seven years.

Since its inception, Bigfoot has been the leader of the pack in innovation and development in the monster truck industry. Over the years Bob Chandler and the entire Bigfoot family have comprised a list of records and accomplishments.

I often imagine myself driving this baby in the town and surprised stares of citizens. And this vehicle is ideal for adventures! Join me and we will be dreaming together...
