Ok, let me start this first story about my car.

I bought my Citroen Xsara Picasso in 2004 and I spent several month choosing between several options. I knew the common stereotypes that the French cars look too attractive to be reliable and that diesel engines make more noise than power, yet I tried to be absolutely objective and didn't let these common biases impact my decision.

So after I learnt that Citroen Xsara Picasso was nominated the Best Car in Its Class of 2004, judged by such criteria as reliability, price, power, fuel economy and roominess. I didn't hesitate to try it myself, because its characteristics fitted me perfectly, as I needed a practical high-endurance car with enough room for my family of 5 and a spacious trunk.

The first thing that impressed me in this cool car was its exterior design. It seemed that Picasso's brush was really one that shaped this hatchback's body, so extraordinary and unearthy it looked. Despite of my expectations its saloon didn't sacrifice anything for the sake of exterior look. It was really spacious and designed just optimally. Unlike the design of most other car saloons hemispherical shapes were prevailing in it, not straight or curved lines.

Another pleasant surprise was this dream-like car's technical features, in addition to power steering and disc brakes with anti-lock units, comfortable power seats, side and front airbags and air conditioning system standard for cars of this class and price it was equipped with additional electronic driving safety features.

My Citroen's engine is also a marvellous one, it is a diesel with 2.0 liter displacement, and basically running it is just as cheap as driving a horse, needing only grass for functioning ;)

So, in my case this French Citroen is exactly the car I needed; driving and maintaining it is a very pleasurable experience.
