Well, my first car story I'll tell on my favorite car - Hyundai Elantra 2.0 TD. This is Korean origin car and when buying it in 2003 I checked all features and aspects like durability, reliability and comfort. Car's fastness and extra power were not my priorities at all, i just needed calm but very good car for every day use. I have another car you know, it is Chevrolet, more quick and dangetous thing and it is in use of my son usually so Hyundai I planned for my own using only.

Elantra is serving me for two years and I can resume this is right choice for average demand drivers. It consumes pretty little diesel - just 5 liters per 100 km in extra urban!

As for maintenance, I'm a car driver with serious experience and most swapps I carry out on my own, this is nor a problem at all! Do think you can't swap collars or absorber? You can, just try guys and save some 50-200 dollars out of nothing! I also repair my car myself as I really respect it and have no desire to entrust into one's hands but mine.

Since my car came to me I've gave her new wheels, look at photos, also new mats inside, I feed her with best oil lube and wash it as often as possible. And I really recommend everyone to do the same with your cars - they are your babies, take care of them!
