I’m from Russia and my car is VW Touran – reliable and undemanding vehicle. You know that climate here in Russia is severe and car servicing costs much therefore we like not really sportive but reliable and cheap cars. We have our own cars produces in Russia too but frankly speaking their quality level is not satisfactory and comparable so those who want to drive a real vehicle takes usuallly VW, Audi - inexpensive and longliving cars. My Touran - 1.9 TDI with supercharger and direct injection features is a rare thing here and I'm a bit proud to own VW Touran. I purchased it from Germany at $24 000 nearly new. I like the design that combines the style of estate and van. It's a very executive and at the same time elegant car not demanding too much care about it. Its diesel famous VW/Audi TDI restyled engine consumes just 6 liters of diesel per 100km in combined cycle! But the most wonderful thing about my car - its 6 gear transmission - new and rare feature for such vehicles. It adds sporty style to this city-type vehilce. 4-cylinders engine inline porduces 100 h/p but the torque ratio is very high - 250! It allows to keep high speed after acceleration on 5th and 6th speeds when going uphill. I own Touran for a year and a half but this is very practical in using. All I had to do up to the moment is to swap oil, collars. Two months ago I put winter tires; the default package is rather scalable so no additions are required; on top of all my wife presented me cool brand steering wheel trim so I'm pleased with the car and ready to meet New Year celebration.
