Volvo S80 some words about

This is my second automobile. The first one is Audi A6 2.5 TD – it is used by my wife, she doesn’t like Volvos. So I have to drive it. I bought it in 2001 from official dealer absolutely new. I wanted comfortable, reliable and dynamic car. The Volvo had optimal ratio price/quality in addition, so after long choosing among all of similar class I took S80. Currently mileage amount 51,000. Its package includes ABS, Traction Control, climate control, PAS, DSTC, frontal airbags + side airbags. Moreover it has inner features as leather saloon upholstery with wooden inserts, power windows, remote mirrors, seats heating, electrical adjustments for front seats with memory, block for cell phone (blue tooth technology) that lets your hands free, remote control at the steering for audio and phone, anti-dazzle rear view mirror, air conditioner with system of air quality control and onboard computer.

Car has sedan body type, front wheels drive and equipped with 2.9L 275hp engine. It outputs torque 380@1800rpm I guess it is not bad. Automatic gearbox has manual mode of operation too.

Really great ergonomics you find everything where do you expect.

Not bad visibility, superb dynamic. There is almost no noise from engine in addition this is very smooth auto as the suspension as so gear shifting. The steering is sensitive... in my opinion too sensitive. Average fuel rate is 12 – 13 mpg. Big and spacious trunk very good audio systems in standard Dolby surround prologic it has 9 speakers. This auto has its own style undoubtedly.

But off course it has own disadvantages. This is very delicate car and I had to visit repair shops very frequently… but it is not such a big problem. Real problem is the bad service in only one official dealer repair shop in my town. And this makes little bit scare about this car. The next my car will be Lexus RX 300. Happy New Year and never drive faster than your angel can fly ;)

I agree, Volvo is a successful combination of comfort, dynamics, and reliability!Man, Do you drive so inaacurately as you have to visit car shops you write too often...it's a surprise for me, I thought Volvo is relaible..
